1. What you are buying

A digital service that turns the photograph submitted by the user into image files in the format required for identity documents in Spain: a 26 × 32 mm and a 30 × 40 mm photo at 600 dpi, and a 10 × 15 cm sheet with eleven copies and cutting marks. Nothing is sent on paper: delivery is exclusively digital.

2. Price

The service is provided free of charge. Nothing is charged, no payment details are asked for and there is no subscription.

3. How an order works

The user uploads a photograph, the system processes it and shows the finished result. No watermark is applied and the download of the files is enabled straight away.

4. Payment

No payments are taken: the service is free. No payment gateway is connected and card details are never requested.

5. Right of withdrawal

Under article 103.m) of Spanish Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 (the consolidated text of the General Law for the Defence of Consumers and Users), the right of withdrawal does not apply to the supply of digital content not supplied on a tangible medium where performance has begun with the consumer’s prior express consent. By pressing the download button, the user requests immediate performance and acknowledges the loss of the right of withdrawal.

This does not affect the legal guarantee: if the file delivered does not match what is described, the user is entitled to have it corrected.

6. If the file does not work

Nothing is charged, so there is nothing to refund. If the file delivered does not meet the stated specifications (size, resolution or background) or cannot be downloaded, write to hola@fotocarnet.es quoting the order reference and we will process the photograph again.

The service is not answerable where the document is rejected because of characteristics of the source photograph supplied by the user (gaze off to the side, closed eyes, turned head, glare on glasses, accessories on the head) or because of a print made without respecting 100 % scale.

7. Availability of the files

Files remain available for 24 hours from upload and are then deleted automatically and irreversibly. It is the user’s responsibility to download and save them within that period.

8. Proper use

The user declares that the photograph uploaded is their own or that they are authorised to process it, and in the case of minors, that they hold legal guardianship. Using the service to impersonate another person or for any unlawful purpose is prohibited.

9. Complaints and dispute resolution

Complaints may be addressed to hola@fotocarnet.es. Users also have access to the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform.
